Oct. 5- As of today, all of the evacuees have been successfully relocated into private apartments near White Rock Lake.  Bennet Hall will now be used again to host C2K groups.

Sept. 28 - The remaining evacuees staying in Bennett Hall will soon be moving into permanent housing. Since the evacuees have very few possessions, we  are trying to help furnish their new homes.

 Please consider donating used furniture that you can  spare.

Sept.23 - Today we received the Reyes Family (5) and Montano families (4), evacuees of Hurricane Rita, and (4) more of the Turner family.

Sept.20 - The Turners family are the recipients of a car from the kind folks at Kiestwood Assembly of God.

Sept.10 - One of our residents from New Orleans was reunited with her  elderly father who had been staying at the Convention Center shelter.  He has  come to stay now in our facility.

Sept- 10- Please no more material or cash donations at this time. Your generosity has met the needs of our families for now.

Sept- 8- Praise God, one of our resident families of four, was offered a job today in Irving. The job came with a two bedroom house so the family will be moving out of Bennet Hall and beginning a new life.

Sept- 8- Job Search Assistance for Hurricane Katrina Evacuees

On Thursday, September 8, the Texas  Workforce Commission, along with Dallas County Worksource, will host a Job  Fair at the Dallas Convention Center from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide valuable employment information to those victims of Hurricane Katrina who have been displaced to the North Texas area.  Employers and businesses who wish to participate should contact:

Sept- 7- The evacuees will be attending services tonight with Warren UMC, Pastor Perry Crenshaw presiding.

Sept- 5- Last Night, we welcomed the Turner Family, evacuees of New Orleans, Louisiana.
