At Tyler Street, we strive to proclaim the same timeless Christian doctrines which have been held by God's Church from the start. While we could express these claims in many way, the words of the Apostle's Creed are among the oldest summations of the Christian faith- and we stand by them today:
We
believe in
God, the Father Almighty,
the Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our
Lord:
We believe in
the Holy Ghost;
the holy catholic* church;
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body;
and the life everlasting.
(*
“catholic” simply means “universal"
reflecting that all Christians belong to
God's Church.)
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
The third day He arose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
