Tyler Street UMC reflects the community of Oak Cliff. We are a multi-ethnic church. We have services in English, Spanish and Bilingual Services as well. We are multi – generational. We have a broad spectrum of classes, events and ministries to serve all age levels. We are intentional in our desire to reach out to everyone who comes through our doors.
Who is the pastor?
Rev. Ed Lantz has a B.A. from East Texas State University and attended Asbury Theological Seminary. He received a M.Div. from Perkins School of Theology. Ed is married to Lisa and has two sons, Nicholas and Lucas. He loves dirt roads and everything rural.
Where is the church?
Tyler Street UMC is located in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. It is on 10th St. between Polk St. and Tyler St. Our address is 927 West 10th Street, Dallas, TX, 75208.
What are the service times?
9:30am - Traditional in Sanctuary
9:30am - Bilingual Contemporary in Anderson Hall
10:40am - 11:20am - Sunday School
11:30am - Contemporary Service in Anderson Hall
What are the child care arrangements?
*Nursery Care is provided from 9:00am-12:30pm for kids 0 months-4 years old.
*Sunday School for grades K-5th is at 10:40am-11:20am (Children's building).
*Children's Church will be offered during both the 9:30 services and the 11:30 service.
*EVERY SUNDAY: Children ages Kindergarten-5th Grade will stay with their parents during the service until an announcement. Then the children are invited to go with Mrs. Nicole McWilliams-Dickerson as she walks them to Children's Church.
*If you can't pick your kids up ages Kindergarten-5th grade after the Sunday School hour, they have the option to stay with us for free time on the playground or indoors until we have Children's Church.
There is an online sign in system for you to fill in and text notification for you in case you are needed. We also do background checks on all employees and volunteers that work with your children through Ministry Safe Certification.
